Demonstration in front of Shabak offices in Tel Aviv

As part of the Israeli Apartheid Week and on Palestinian Prisoners day on the 17th of April Israeli anti-apartheid activists demonstrated in front of the Shein Beit offices in Ramat Aviv. They demonstrated in support of the Palestinian Administrative detainee strike that 490 which Prisoners are participating in.

They called for the release of 18-year old Amal Nakhleh, an end to administrative detention and freedom for all political prisoners.

Israelis Against Apartheid have joined the Palestinian Administrative detainee strike in solidarity by refusing to cooperate with the Israeli courts in any event In which the authorities arrest or presses against us as a result of our resistance to the occupation and Apartheid.

While the Jewish Israeli activists blocked the road and disobeyed police orders over and over, it was a Palestinian student on the side-lines that was the only person arrested. This is a clear and consistent example of the ways that the Israeli Apartheid state operates.

While Jewish Israelis can block a road in front of a police station without repercussion, Palestinian are beaten and arrested for simply being there.
